Responsibilities and Duties

Our valued client is looking for a customer-focused and enthusiastic Hardware & Technical Assessment Engineer. The applicant should be technically competent, possess good written and verbal communication skills and have SC Clearance with a view to obtaining DV Clearance. The Hardware & Technical Assessment Engineer role will comprise of the below

• The imaging of Laptops / desktops for deployment to customers and internal break fix teams.
• Assessing the technical requirements against customers’ requests & liaising with suppliers for availability and quotes
• Evaluating new desktop equipment and recommending additions and amendments to the hardware catalogue
• Physical warranty and non-warranty repairs to faulty stock.

You must be prepared to work on a nuclear licensed site and obtain DV clearance. You will be onsite 100% of the time over a 9 day working fortnight (every other Friday off)

Skills Required

• Technical understanding of Desktop/ Laptop hardware
• Experienced in fault finding and hardware break/fix repair
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory and SCCM
• COMPTIA A+ or competently answer technical questions on interview

Desirable

• (MCP) Microsoft Certified Professional
